Process addictions (or behavioral addictions) are often misunderstood by society. I provide a safe place for my clients who struggle with process addictions to examine their behaviors and the emotions related to those behaviors. I make it a point for each client to examine the unique triggers that may be influencing their process addictions and work with them to implement coping mechanisms when they are feeling vulnerable.
I utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach when working with process addictions. I work with the client to create a treatment plan that is unique to each individual and their situation. I collaborate with the client to examine their behavioral patterns and cycles and formulate a plan of action to interrupt those cycles.
