In addition to working with individuals struggling with disordered eating and process addictions, I also provide individual counseling for individuals struggling with a variety of issues such as: anxiety, depression, self-esteem insecurity, and low perceived body image. I also have experience working with individuals who are survivors of domestic violence and have provided anger management services.
My overall goal is for my clients to feel safe and comfortable discussing and processing their thoughts and emotions in session. I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when working with individual clients and assist them in looking for evidence for their faulty or irrational beliefs and, ultimately, collaborate with them to create less defeating thoughts and beliefs.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model. I work with each client to create a treatment plan that is unique to their individual needs.
